German free-oscillator clock, art nouveau oak case with some unobtrusive carvings. 8 day square spring wound movement with Graham escapement, half and full hour striking on round gong – rack striking system. Silvered metal dial with Arabic numerals and engraved art nouveau style flowers centre part. Art nouveau type blacksteel hands. The company’s trade mark LFS within an anchor wheel ( this trade mark was registered in 1919 ) on the movement’s back platine togethjer with the serial number 5651. A sticker indicates the pendulum swingings with 104 times per minute. Look at: Lexikon der Deutschen Uhrenindustrie, 2nd.ed.2012, pages 119/120. This clockfactory established in 1836 went out of business in 1932. Measurements of the case - height x width x depth: approx: 66,5 cm x 37cm x 18,3 cm , diameter of dial: 19 cm, Lenght of pendulum: 41 cm, weight of clock: 5 KG.
