French table clock in Louis XV. Rococo style case. Pressed brass case whose decoration is modelled as scrolling foliage and ‚c’ scrolls ( rocaille ).
8 day spring wound movement of Paris type, half and full hour striking on bell, locking-plate striking system, anchor escapement, silvered brass dial with Roman numerals, steel pendulum suspension spring with fine adjustement from the back of the movement.
Measurements of case: height x width x depth: approx: 35,5 cm x 27 cm x 12,5 cm – weight of clock: 2,4 KG
This clock was made around 1870 but long time ago the movement has been replaced by an other one because the movement’s false plate is solded to the dial frame. The movement is same period as the case.
