French ‚Borne’ type clock of Louis Philippe period. Dark green lacquered metal case whose frame and edges are gold colour painted. White enamel dial with Roman numerals surrounded by a casted brass perl ring holding the glass cover. 8 day spring wound movement of Paris type, half and full hour striking on bell, locking-plate striking system, anchor escapement, ornate brass hands. Silk suspension with fine adjustement from the back of the movement. Backplate of the movement is marked: Fabriquée de Paris 222 8 1.
