French bronze clock of the romantique period when Louis Philippe was king of France. Rich ornated fire gilded bronze case with a lady riding a horse. Bronze clocks showing horse/s were not manufactured very often in that period.
8 day spring wound movement of Paris type, half and full hour striking on bell, locking-plate striking system, anchor escapement, silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals, blued Breguet style steel hands. Silk suspension pendulum with fine adjustement from the back of the movement.
