English one hand grandfather clock of Queen Anne period simple oak case. 30 hour weight driven bird cage type movement ( going and striking train are composed consecutively ) with Huyghens type endless-rope winding mechanism. Anchor escapement and long pendulum, locking-plate striking on bell. Square brass dial with chapter ring showing hour numerals and quarter indication for hand hand. Punch marked centre part, casted spandrels showing a crown in between two angels. Hand sawn iron hand. Signature on chapter ring: Step. Harris Tunbridge.
