German oak case round top table clock, 8 day square spring wound movement with anchor escapement, half and full hour striking on round gong – rack striking system. Silvered arched dial and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals. Spade type black iron hands.
Two crossing arrows on the movement’s back platine is he brand of the HAMBURG-AMERIKANISCHE UHRENFAKRIK AG (HAU ) (HAMBURG-AMERICAN CLOCKFACTORY). Look at: Lexikon der Deutschen Uhrenindustrie, 2nd.ed.2012, pages 152/155. This clockfactory was established in 1875 and merged with the famous Junghans Clockfactory in 1930.
