French oval shaped tableau clock of Napoleon III period. Oval frame with stucco profile and painted wood grain. Centre part with marquetry and brass

Lunette. Alabaster dial with enamel cartouches - Roman numerals in blue colour – on small pressed ornated brass plates.

8 day spring wound square movement with anchor escapement, half and full hour striking on gong. Movement marked on back plate: Ls Japy Fils  Médailles d’argent 1844 1848. Look at: TARDY Dictionnaire Des Horlogers Francais, 1971, pages  325/326.  Dial signed: WATIER PARIS 28 & 30 Passage Du Havre.

Measurements of case :  height x width x depth: approx: 58 cm x 48 cm x 15,5 cm – weight of clock:  6,8 KG.

This clock was made around  1850/1860.  Key is replaced. For the other parts we guarantee that they all originally fit together.
