French 8 day Morbier clock of Louis XV. period with casted bronze head piece, back looking rooster, two hens and head of Medusa, 8 day string wound movement with verge escapement, folded pendulum with a plomb bob, half hour striking ‚passing by’ and full hour striking on bell, rack striking system, no repetition of full hour which normally is typical for Morbier clock but not for very early ones, alarm mecanisme,double shaped enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, hand sawn iron hand. Movable brass shutters for winding holes. Measurements of the clock:height x width x depth: Movement cage: 24,3 cm x 21,5 cm x 14,5 cm Clock case: 37 x 21,5 x 16,5 cm, total height of clock:162,5 cm Diameter of dial: 21,3cm, length of pendulum: 160,5 cm. This clock was made approx. 1760/65. During restoration two shutters, weightsand pendulum are replaced by repro-parts. All other parts of this clock originally fit together. Price upon request
